Kiichiro Adachi is a Japanese artist from Osaka, based in Brooklyn, New York. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from Tama Art University. In 2016, he relocated to New York with support from Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs. His sculptural works have been exhibited at various art festivals, museums, and galleries in Japan and internationally. His major solo exhibitions include All After Human(Harukaito by island, Tokyo, 2021), Big Dipper(Shirley Fiterman Art Center, New York, 2019), and cluster(AiB Gallery, Detroit, 2018). Selected group exhibitions include Good Night: Energy Flash(Storage by Hyundai Card, Seoul, 2019), Meet the Art(The Hakone Open-Air Museum, Kanagawa, 2014), Trans-Cool TOKYO(Singapore Art Museum, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, 2011), Busan Biennale 2010(South Korea), When Lives Become Form(São Paulo Museum of Modern Art, Brazil, 2008). His works are included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.
